Commitment to Sustainability

Eco-Responsible Oilseed Ingredients

At Natural Plant Products, sustainability began with Meadowfoam, a crop native to the Pacific Northwest that thrives on natural rainfall and requires minimal inputs. Today, while Meadowfoam Seed Oil remains a cornerstone, our growers also cultivate other complementary oilseed crops that align with regional soil and climate conditions. All of our oils are produced with a focus on environmental responsibility. Our facility runs on over 50% renewable electricity, is Ecocert certified, and we actively monitor our impact through EcoVadis. The result is a collection of natural botanical oils with low environmental footprints, high performance, stability, and a choice you can feel good about.

Welcome to Oregon's Willamette Valley

Fertile soils and plentiful rain have helped make Oregon’s Willamette Valley one of the world’s largest seed-crop producing regions, supporting diverse agriculture and reliable yields year after year.

Mindful Stewards

Our Oregon Meadowfoam Growers co-op unites multigenerational family farmers. They produce over 90% of global Meadowfoam Oil, with founding families active, while also growing numerous other crops.

Farm to Face

With a simple and sustainable production system, low environmental impact, and fair pricing, we conduct a straightforward operation that brings locally native crops to the global cosmetic industry.

Responsibly Sourced

Our farmer owners recognize their responsibility in taking care of the land for the next generation. Many of our growers are a link in their family farm’s legacy. Our respectful and transparent practices, positively impact our natural world and our local communities.

Leaving It All On The Field

Our native crops require little to no irrigation to grow. Our oils go into some of the best cosmetics on the market. The by-product of our processing is recycled back into the compost stream.

Social Responsibility

Our cooperative of grower owners prioritize fair labor practices, safe and inclusive workplaces, and long-term partnerships with our local growers and employees. Through ethical sourcing, community engagement, and equitable opportunities, we aim to create positive social impact.

Proud to Be 100% Farmer Owned

Modern farming presents many challenges ranging from rapidly changing economic pressures, policy changes, labor shortages, evolving environmental concerns, water scarcity, and limited access to capital amongst many others.

Despite these pressures, farmer-owned businesses allow farmers to have a greater say in how their products are produced, processed, and marketed. This can lead to more sustainable and ethical farming practices, as well as greater control over the quality and safety of their products.

When farmers have more control over the supply chain, it can lead to greater transparency and accountability that benefits consumers in knowing where a product comes from and how it is produced.

Being farmer-owned ensures that any profits from the cooperative go back to support local farms, to provide living wages for employees, and to support the greater Willamette Valley rural communities!
