As part of our 4 part FIELD GOOD Wellness Series, chemists from the Natural Plant Products Applications Lab have assembled self care formulations for lips using the Meadowfoam Seed Oil and Daikon Seed Extract we produce on our member farms. Enjoy!

EXFOLIATING

#1. Our Lip Scrub and Moisturizing Mask – Combines gentle exfoliation with lasting moisturization for the perfect one-two punch! This nourishing, gentle, exfoliating lip scrub and treatment mask is infused with hydrating and rapidly absorbing Meadowfoam Seed Oil and Daikon Seed Extract to smooth and protect dry lips. Pleasant, exfoliating rice bran wax micro beads gently buff away dry skin while Oat Lipid e, rich in ceramides, and all-natural Lanolin lock in moisture.

MOISTURIZATION 

#2. Our Vegan Lip Balm combines no less than five emollients as well as locally sourced peppermint oil and is great for moisturizing bare lips or as a primer under lip color. This unusually stable natural lip balm contains Meadowfoam Seed Oil and Daikon Seed Extract, which give lips a rich, moisturizing feel with a bit of shine. Highly stable Meadowfoam Seed Oil also extends the oxidative stability of this product, a key benefit as lip balms last so long they can go rancid before they are used up. Cupuacu butter and cocoa butter provide a nice long-lasting light coating on lips without feeling waxy. Sunflower and carnauba wax provide vegan alternatives to beeswax.

#3. Our Nourishing Botanicals Tinted Lip Shine Oil delivers in a trendy new format. this Lip Shine Oil delivers hydration while imparting an attractive sheen to lips with a bonus hint of color. Enriched with plant oils, Meadowfoam Seed Oil gives lips a rich, substantive, non-greasy, moisturizing feel and Daikon Seed Extract provides high shine and a silky smooth feel.

South African Mongongo Oil adds a protective layer, OleoFLEX thickens the oils and provides a longer-lasting formulation that stays on the lips, and Oat Lipid e has moisture-rich ceramides. Soothing Aloe conditions skin and Vitamin E Acetate provides excellent antioxidant activity on the skin.

Sleek and silky, not sticky (like many lip glosses tend to be), our lip oil delivers the moisture of a lip balm and the shine of a lip gloss, all in one multi-functional package.

PROTECTION

#4. Our Clear Oil Sunscreen Stick is coral reef-safe, wonderfully moisturizing yet light and comes in an easy-to-use stick format for face, lips and body. This non-greasy “dry oil” formulation is loaded with Daikon Seed Extract for a light, velvety skin feel. Meadowfoam Seed Oil XPR  adds richness and oxidative stability. And, when combined with amino acid-derived gelatinization agents, XPR and DSE form a clear, solid stick that resists melting/softening in warm temperatures. DOES NOT CONTAIN OXYBENZONE OR OCTINOXATE.
